    The Manager of Veterinary Recruiting holds a pivotal role within VCA, responsible for the seamless management of the specialty recruiting team's day-to-day operations and oversight of the Intern Career Advisor program.

    This role involves close collaboration with teammates to actively contribute to the development of talent pipelines for specialty and internship positions in VCA hospitals across the United States.

    Additionally, the Manager serves as a subject matter expert, offering valuable insights and expertise on recruiting strategies, processes, and industry trends.

    Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a large, remote workforce are essential qualities for success in this position.

    Responsibilities:
    Develop and lead VCA's Specialty Recruiting Program
    Oversee support of VCA's current Interns and encourage retention through individual and group communication, in-person meetings, hosting a lecture series, and partnership with VCA Intern Directors
    Manage the day-to-day performance of the specialty recruiting team and mentor, coach, and grow recruiting team members to align with business needs
    Develop and manage recruiting metrics, and evaluate the recruiting processes, team, and training to further expand upon our existing recruiting practices, ensuring consistency and best practices are followed throughout the recruiting lifecycle
    Manage and continue to develop the Travel ER, GP, and other travel position programs at VCA nationwide.
    Fulfill other related duties as assigned
    Present the recruiting strategy and results at regional field meetings as necessary, and travel to national conferences, school campuses, and VCA hospitals as necessary
    Engage and partner with the hiring managers/department leaders to understand hiring requirements, set realistic expectations and educate on the recruiting process

    Qualifications:
    DVM or Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, preferred
    5-10 years recruiting experience, 5+ years supervisory experience
    Recruiting experience in the veterinary industry
    Basic computer skills
    Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and CRM software
    Ability to read, write, and speak English
    *All degrees will be deemed "or equivalent combination of education and experience" unless absolutely required to do the job (i.e., DVM degree for Veterinarian, Law degree for Attorney, etc.).
    Additional Information
    Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $98,400 - $118,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location . Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
