    Description
    A Healthcare client is looking for a Manager of Application Development to join their team. This resource will manage the Custom Solutions team that designs, develops, maintains and supports custom internal applications.

    This role oversees the strategy, architecture, delivery and support of custom applications, ensuring high performance, availability, scalability, quality and on time delivery.

    This role also evaluates and recommends improvements to existing procedures and processes, as well as new technologies or enhancements to existing technologies, including cost analysis and cost/benefit analysis of proposed changes.



    • Manage multiple, concurrent development projects using the Agile methodology and ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify new opportunities for custom solution development and enhancement.
    • Hire, train, and mentor a high performing team of developers and analysts. Provide regular feedback, recognition, and performance evaluations.
    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies and recommend and implement new tools to support innovation and efficiency.
    • Evaluate and improve the processes and practices of the team to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with best practices.
    • Prepare and manage annual capital and operating budgets for the custom solutions department.
    • Review code, identify defects, suggest solutions and improvements, and troubleshoot application issues as needed.
    • To be successful in this role, you should have strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills, as well as experience in custom solution development using the Agile methodology.

    Healthcare Experience


    • Experience managing onshore and offshore teams across different time zones and cultures
    • 5+ years of experience in managing software development teams
    • Experience with Azure DevOps, MS Power Platforms, Java, . Net, API's and SQL
    • Experience working in an Agile Environment
    • Experience with SDLC core principles
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, operations, management, or a related field is required.
    • CICD development experience
