Manufacturing Engineer
Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Direct Hire

Salary:
$85,000 to $105,000 .

Responsibilities
Creates manufacturing planning masters from engineering drawings, and updates existing masters to the latest revision level, through DCNs/ECOs. Estimates machining/shop times for all operations.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, i.e. tooling requirements. Design tooling as necessary.
Confers with Engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Releases shop travelers, RPO travelers, and assembly travelers according to Production Control requirements.
Identifies/implements

process and productivity improvements in all manufacturing areas.
Evaluates potential opportunities for manufacturing or testing automation.
Creates rework shop travelers from I.R. requirements and ECO requirements; creates special shop travelers for tooling, engineering, and assembly requirements.
Assists in software development and implementation using existing software. Develops procedures and methods to fulfill manufacturing requirements.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college in a technical field; and five years of machine shop experience.
Three years of manufacturing planning is preferred. Aerospace and hydraulics experience is highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of manufacturing drawings, geometric tolerance, and manufacturing methods.
Knowledge of inspection procedures and specifications.
Knowledge of CNC machine programming.
Knowledge of Manufacturing software.
Proven track record of problem-solving, process improvements, and productivity implementation in a machine shop and assembly/test environment.
Ability to deal with problems involving variable situations in a manufacturing environment.
