    Fluency in Microsoft Office Toolset Position Description:

    The primary function of this position is to serve as an acquisition analyst in the SHIELD Acquisition Management Division providing procurement services for weapons systems.

    Responsible for performing procurement/contract-related duties pertinent to large scale procurement of sub-assemblies, complex components of major functional assemblies and technical services for the weapon system involving a variety of contracts from pre-award through post-award to contract completion.

    Assists technical staff in preparation of contract requirements packages (CRPs) in final format that provide the basis for invitation for bids, requests for proposals, letter contracts, negotiated contracts, contract modifications, and other procurement related documents.

    Duties include preparing and staffing Justification and Approvals (J&As) for Sole Source, Acquisition Plans, Service Acquisition Strategies and Functional Requirements Authentication Board (FRAB) documents.

    Must be knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Army Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFARS), and other required regulations, policies, and procedures.

    Establishes and maintains functional controls to ensure that contract award is accomplished according to guidelines and within required timelines for assigned contracts.

    Attends meetings with Government and contractor personnel and furnishes recommended solutions to contractual problems. Performs in-depth research of procedures, policies, and regulations to provide technical advice to leadership, product managers, and functional stakeholders.
