- Analyze reports for all lines of business and affiliates.
- Develop trend analyses and quantitative reports to identify business trends.
- Establish working relationships with peers and management.
- Attend meetings to stay informed about current and emerging issues and risks.
- Participate in process improvements and problem resolution.
- Analyze business performance, make recommendations, and measure progress.
- Assist with the automation of data collection and analysis.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced analysts.
- Review work of less experienced staff and set department objectives.
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of accounting or finance experience.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP strongly desired.
- Proficient in MS-Windows and related applications.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in performance measurement tools and technology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking.

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsible for executing highly complex financial analysis and business improvement across all key areas within the Bancorp. Serve as the financial leader to all Fifth Third Bancorp lines of business and affiliates to understand and meet information needs for sustainable growth. Focus on providing value-added analysis and recommendations to support business growth. Mentor less experienced staff in their development.
