Throughout the internship period, this role provides students with the opportunity to: Gain insights into internal and external financial reporting procedures Acquire a solid grasp of financial management concepts utilized by the company in investment decisions Enhance skills in documenting project work and effective communication with supervisors and colleagues Develop abilities to engage with professionals at various levels within the company Enhance time management skills and handle multiple projects simultaneously What you will be doing: The Financial Analyst Intern will report to a Senior Financial Analyst and collaborate with the AVP and VP of Investment Management, as well as interact with departments such as Finance, Accounting, and Operations.
This role is based in our Cincinnati, OH office.Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting for internal users and external investors Support NOI & Capital forecasting analysis; investigate variances compared to budget, prior reforecast, and previous years Aid in the budget and forecast process:
Update financial templates for budget/forecast Generate financial/operational KPI reports Data integration and reconciliation between the general ledger system (MRI) and forecasting system (AE)
Conduct peer/industry/market research as required Prepare quarterly Board of Directors presentations What we are seeking:
A current full-time undergraduate student in our Cincinnati, OH office during the semester Enrolled in a Finance degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.
0 Proficient in Advanced MS Excel modeling and possess strong analytical skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to engage with diverse groups internally and externally, including senior management Ability to work independently, follow guidance, and collaborate effectively as part of a team (when necessary)Additional Skills:
Preferably experience with Argus and/or other portfolio analysis software Familiarity with MRI software or similar accounting databases Previous internship involving corporate financial analysis and modeling is a plus Why Choose PECO?
