- Prepare cost calculations for use in pricing new products.
- Conduct operational reviews including yield verification and time studies.
- Work with management in assigning appropriate margin to new products.
- Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly internal price books used by order entry department.
- Review standard cost structure and make recommendations for any necessary changes.
- Develop and maintain standards for hourly machine rates and hourly labor rates.
- Develop and maintain annual operating budgets.
- Develop pro forma financial analysis as directed.
- Perform market analysis as directed in assisting sales department.
- Collects and analyze data to evaluate existing and potential product and service markets.
- Identify and monitor competitors and research market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect sales.
- Cross-train with others in the department to perform their duties as needed in the event of illness or vacation.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
- Follow SugarCreek safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to read and comprehend printed and electronic information.
- Able to use computers proficiently with strong competence in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Knows ERP systems with SAP experience desired.
- Able to use critical thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
- Possesses the skills to manage time and multitask efficiently while maintaining a detail-oriented work style.
- Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with others, especially via email and telephone, with people both within and outside of the company.

Description
DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Create cost and pricing models for SugarCreek products using a variety of inputs related to raw material pricing and production costs. Conduct pricing analysis on all new products and maintain overall product pricing program for the company.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Education: Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, or other related field.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in a financial or cost-accounting position.
Certification or Licensure Requirements: None.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with financial analyst positions, including mostly sitting with some standing/walking required. Other light physical activity like using stairs or occasionally moving items weighing less than 15lbs may be required as needed. Some travel may be required in between plants.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Some travel to other locations is required.
Most work is performed in a comfortable, indoor, office-like facility. Very little work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including hard hat, hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe boots, coats and other necessary equipment. Very little work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility.
