    Responsibilities:

    • Developing a written plan of care for each resident
    • Implementing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing department
    • Reviewing and revising care plans and assessments
    • Coordinating nursing services with other resident services
    • Providing leadership training
    • Providing direct nursing care as necessary
    • Preparing and operating under the nursing department budget
    • Participating in state and federal surveys of the facility
    • Attending continuing education programs

    Qualifications:

    • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university
    • A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state
    • Experience as a supervisor in a healthcare setting
    • A minimum of 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
    • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
    • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (and computer documentation systems)
    • The ability to maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
