- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 35 pounds 15% of the time
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Basic knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), or willingness to learn
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report
- Must obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report
- Pass pre-employment drug screen (employer paid)
- Prior experience in providing services to individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or Hard-of-Hearing
- Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with assistive technology and devices for individuals with sensory impairments
- Knowledge of Braille
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Proficiency in communication systems preferred by individuals who are Deaf-Blind
- Ability to communicate effectively in various forms including Signed English and Tactile ASL

Job Title: Support Specialist for Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals

- Providing essential support to individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or Hard-of-Hearing to enhance their access and independence in the community.
- Relaying visual and environmental information to individuals.
- Offering travel assistance like human guide support and transportation services.
- Responsible for driving agency vehicles as needed.
- Position may involve high-performance demands and occasional stress.
