- Assisting the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) with program-level / cross-project technical guidance on system safety.
- Interaction and program representation with numerous stakeholders and technical exchange forums.
- Assessment of technical risk and mitigation alternatives in regards to system safety.
- Tailoring of engineering standards and controls for appropriate technical oversight of technology efforts.
- Creation and tracking of project technical transition criteria.
- Other technical support duties as may arise from either the Program Lead or APMSE.
- Minor (10%) travel is required for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
- At least seven (7) years of experience with DoD research and development (R&D) procurement.
- Experience and working knowledge of System Safety Engineering, analysis, demonstration, and test.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
- Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries.
- Experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.
