Job Description and Duties
Staff Park and Recreation Specialist – Inland Empire DISTRICT / Chino / Lake Perris Sector / Chino Sector Office
The reporting location for this position is Chino Sector Office in Riverside, CA. This position will work under the direction of State Park Superintendent III.
This Operations Manager will work under the general direction of the State Park Superintendent III. This position will have the authority and responsibility to plan, organize, and direct and control the Sector's operational program. They will aid in developing budgets, management plans, and oversee the Visitor Services program. The Operations Manager will manage the protection of the sector's cultural and natural resources, real property, and programs for the purpose of efficient and effective utilization of sector resources to meet the Department of Parks and Recreation's objective of providing quality service and experiences to the public. We are looking for a highly motivated and independent person to join our State Parks team. The incumbent may be asked to travel locally, overnight, and statewide to attend trainings, conferences, and other events.
This position requires a valid Class C driver's license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application. Occasional travel may be required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This recruitment may be used to fill identical vacancies which may occur within 180 days of the Final Filing Date of this job posting.
Working Conditions
