The federal-owned Wismut GmbH has been rehabilitating and recultivating the regions in Saxony and Thuringia that have been impacted by uranium mining for over three decades.

As an internationally significant reference project for pioneering technologies in the remediation of radioactive waste, the company's employees are facing one of the greatest ecological and technical challenges of our time.

At the Ronneburg location, the Procurement department is currently seeking a


Purchasing Employee (m/f/d)
to be initially filled for a period of two years.


Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Procuring and providing necessary materials, equipment, and services in a timely manner in consultation with specialist departments and stakeholders
  • Conducting ongoing disposition and checks, including contract monitoring, using existing IT systems, particularly SAP
  • Checking procurement readiness for deliveries and services with stakeholders
  • Supporting and advising stakeholders in creating performance descriptions, evaluating offers, and preparing procurement proposals

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, industrial clerk, or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing and materials management
  • Experience in public procurement and technical understanding desirable
  • Proficient in relevant software (SAP, MS Office)
  • Excellent written and spoken German skills
  • Good coordination and cooperation skills, team spirit, and communication skills
