Description
Serves as security expert responsible for carrying out security operations, resolving problems, interpreting policy and coordinating work with other district and federal agencies.
Supervises a workforce of employees including contract workers, Security Guards and Customer Service Representatives. Provides oversight of staff activities and issues policy guidance.Determines and establishes priorities; develops schedules for completion of work; makes assignments to staff and provides advice and assistance to employees.
Administers security and safety processes/techniques in the protection of life, property, and civil rights of staff, consumers and visitors.Maintains contact with mentally challenging consumers, employees, general public and members of the Metropolitan Police Department and other law enforcement agencies.
Qualifications:
Licensures, Certifications and other requirements
Must have a valid driver's license.
Education
Minimum Education Requirement
Must possess a high school diploma or a certificate of equivalency (GED)
Work Experience
Experience planning and directing safety and security programs in a mental health setting or similar facility.
Duration of Appointment:
Management Supervisory Services (At-Will)

Work Environment
Work is performed in a controlled environment and involves some exposure to moderate risk of accidents and requires following basic safety precautions.
Tour of Duty:
Required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

- Returntoduty or followup drug and alcohol test.
