    Description **The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guest's table efficiently and accurately, and acting as a liaison between the front and back of house to ensure effective communication.**

    **Duties and Responsibilities:**

    Delivers food from the kitchen to the guests tables rapidly and accurately

    Runs completed dishes to guests without auctioning off food items at table

    Describe various food dishes to customers

    Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu

    Checks with guests during dining experience to confirm satisfaction, as needed

    Acts as the contact point between Front and Back of house staff

    Acts as support to bus servers, when possible

    Keeps all service and table areas clean, organized and stocked

    Ensures all tables and chairs are steady and sturdy

    Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling

    Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials

    Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Board of Health

    Performs other related activities as assigned by management

    **Qualifications**

    Deliver timely and courteous service to LDV Hospitality guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures

    Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English

    Must have basic math skills

    Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times

    Strong customer service background

    Ability to have an outgoing, friendly disposition for guest relations

    Working knowledge of the full menu, including recipe details

    Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards

    Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times

    Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required

    Responsible for training and developing new employees to LDV Hospitalitys standards of service

    Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies

    Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by management

    Adhere to all HR policies and procedures

    **Education, Experience, Knowledge Requirements**

    1-2 years experience as a Food Runner in a similar caliber establishment is preferred

    A high school education is required

    **Physical/Special Requirements**

    Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis

    Ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day

    Mobility and manual dexterity appropriate to staff in the Food Runner position

    **Work Environment**

    Ability to withstand a high volume of business and the movement, noise and temperature extremes associated with that volume

    Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
