    Description

    Job Summary: As a vital part of our restaurant team, the Food Runner ensures the timely delivery of food from the kitchen to the guests' table, enhancing their overall dining experience. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of service and ensuring that orders are accurately delivered to the right tables.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food orders.
    2. Retrieve prepared dishes from the kitchen and ensure they are plated correctly.
    3. Verify the accuracy of food orders before delivering them to the appropriate tables.
    4. Coordinate with servers to ensure that all dishes for a table are delivered simultaneously.
    5. Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen or servers.
    6. Assist servers in clearing empty plates and dishes from tables as needed.
    7. Monitor tableware, glassware, and utensil levels and replenish them as necessary.
    8. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any guest requests or concerns.
    9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing spills and debris.
    10. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.
    11. Assist in restocking inventory and supplies as needed.
    12. Collaborate with other restaurant staff members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
    13. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
    14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    1. Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar role preferred but not required.
    2. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    7. High school diploma or equivalent.

    Physical Requirements:

    1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    2. Ability to lift and carry trays of food and plates weighing up to 25 pounds.
    3. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
    4. Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.

    Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time

    Salary: Hourly wage plus tips (if applicable)
