    where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.

    The successful

    Accounting Manager

    candidate will


    be part of a team working to expand a strong and proven concept that has solid growth potential, with the opportunity to create substantial shareholder value.

    You will be responsible for coordinating and administering a plan for the control of business financial operations.

    The duties include the production of periodic financial records, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

    The position is also responsible for organizing, managing, and controlling the work of accounting personnel in collecting, summarizing, and interpreting financial data for the use of management, creditors, and taxing authorities.

    Leads budget and cost controls and accounting practices.

    You will help develop forecasts for proposed projects, measures actual performance against operating plans and standards, and interprets the results of operations for all levels of management.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    The successful candidate will have the ability to challenge the organization effectively, resolve problems, and willing to provide a hands-on approach in finding solutions.

    Prepare and review monthly financial performance (revenue, operating profit, and cash).

    Execute monthly reconciliations and journal entries to assure accurate financial information is generated and proper internal controls are in place, in accordance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and Luminator policies and procedures.

    Working with management, monitor and perform variance analysis of monthly operating results against budget.
    Prepare all forecasting requirements including the annual budget, monthly outlook, and weekly financial updates.
    Ensure that all statutory reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
    Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and procedures.

    Monitor and enhance the monthly close process, including analysis of current regional close activities and opportunities for improvement; participate in the implementation of operating procedures to improve efficiency.

    Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
    Analyze financial and operational information to determine the most efficient use of resources and capital. Provide strategic recommendations and solutions to the operational units and senior management team.
    Actively participate in initiatives and special projects as required by senior management, segment leadership, and corporate.
    Other job duties as required.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    The

    Accounting Manager


    will be an experienced, operationally oriented professional who can successfully lead as a very hands-on Accounting Manager to scale for additional growth and maximize potential.


    This professional will possess:


    Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

    Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

    Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems.
    Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
    Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
    Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
    Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
    Determine how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures.

    Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

    Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
    Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
    Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
    Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

    Technical and business knowledge to include advanced financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Word and PowerPoint.

    Prior experience with ERP environments and planning in database tools required.
    Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, treasury, or accounting required.
    BS in Accounting required. MBA or advanced degree in Finance preferred; CPA or CMA a plus.


    ADDITIONAL PRIORITIES:
    The Accounting Manager will prioritize and broadly execute the following:
    Knowledge of banking, accounting, finance, and tax.
    Experience working with global companies and understand reporting, SOX compliance and GAAP impact of the treasury function.
    Hands-on, self-starter with strong business/common sense.
    Goal-oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment.
    Excellent analytical, negotiation, organization, and presentation skills.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, Board members, Committee members or other outside partners.


    LOCATION:
    Plano is a city in the state of Texas, just north of downtown Dallas.

    It is a hub for many corporate headquarters and has been rated by Forbes as the safest city in 2011.

    Plano has many visitors, 80% of which are business travelers.

    The Preston Road area is home to major corporate headquarters of Fortune 1000 companies which have brought thousands of jobs to the area.

    Plano has two major space reserves: Arbor Hills Nature Preserve (200 acres) and Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve (800 acres).

    Bob Woodruff Park and Oak Point Park are connected by biking trails providing an abundance of outdoor recreation for families in Plano.

    These parks also include activities such as zip lining and Tarzan swings. They have five recreation centers that feature pools, dog parks, and amphitheaters for entertainment. This represents 84 parks. They feature an annual balloon festival every September that draws thousands.
    Collin College has two campuses in Plano. Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Dallas Baptist University also have campuses in Plano. There are 70 public schools and 16 private schools.

    Plano has more graduates than other comparable communities in Texas, graduating 93% of their classes, and score 18 percentage points higher than the same population in Dallas.

    Many graduate as National Merit Scholars.
    Plano is served by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). They provide commuter services via bus and light rail systems. The system is used by 1% of the population.
    As far as arts, culture, and entertainment, Plano is home to over 700 restaurants. There is a thriving downtown scene that is rated in the top ten within the country. This includes new office spaces as well as major retail establishments. Plano is a major, busy, bustling city and one of the best places in the United States to live.
