YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The Bartender at Kassie Beach Club is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests and cocktail servers while also taking orders and serving snacks and drinks. Additionally, assesses bar customers' needs preferences, and makes recommendations.

Requirements

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

• Meet Kassi Beach Club standards regarding cleanliness as dictated by the SNHD
• Preparation will be key. Prep the bar daily, maintain it during the shift and clean it nightly in preparation for the next shift
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, washing and polishing glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
• Stock the bar as necessary in accordance with company guidelines regarding liquor requisition
• Adhere to company standards regarding food and beverage knowledge
• Orchestrate an extraordinary guest experience through positive guest interaction
• Be able to guide guests through aspects of our property and our city
• Ensure that guests are of legal drinking age by asking for an appropriate ID card
• Handle a cash bank and adhere to company policies regarding money handling
• Accurately enter all items into POS system and charge guests accordingly
• Comply with sanitation standards and notify management of any issues
• Utilize the communication channels set in place and be up to date on all aspects of service, safety, and operation protocols and procedures.
• Work with leadership to identify and limit waste and to promote efficient productivity
• Exercise professionalism and respect when communicating. Know each other's names
• Maintain your work schedule, daily time-punches, and sign-ins to ensure accuracy of timecards.
• Adhere to all house policies and standards
• Promote a professional and respectful work atmosphere between all staff members
• Perform proper changeover, opening, and closing duties
• Maintain accountability to kitchen standards, set prep recipes and performance procedures
• Follow all prep recipes and procedures and successfully perform these duties as assigned and/or reassigned by leadership
• Participate in seamless operation between BOH + FOH staff members ensuring proper service to our guests
• Perform to high standards of excellence, execution, and cleanliness
• Always keep your active SNHD Food Handler's card with you while on property
• Execute proper health and safety protocols while operating equipment, handling food, storing food, maintaining temperature time control logs, and sanitizing as dictated by the SNHD
• Report health and safety incidents and concerns directly to leadership in an accurate and timely manner
• Contribute to successful SNHD health inspections
• Responsibilityweekly requirement to post/share digital marketing on social media accounts as provided by Kassi Marketing

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

• Knowledge of and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks
• The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through five (5) years bartending or similar experience, or through progressive promotion and training within the Beverage department
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

MUST HAVE'S

• Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
• Must be 21 years of age
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
• Preferred: 1-2 years' pool experience
• Familiarity with superior customer service skills required
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and written

WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S

• Must have the ability to lead and supervise

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Lift up to 60 pounds of equipment or supplies, and move carts that weigh up to 100 pounds
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, sunlight, smoke, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken. This position typically works outside and is subject to all weather. Proper clothing is provided
