SUMMARY


National Bulk Equipment (NBE) in Holland, Michigan, is a rapidly growing manufacturer of automated bulk processing and reclamation equipment for customers in diverse markets around the globe.

From small startup operations to Fortune 100 companies, NBE's integrated project capabilities are relied on to automate customers' processing and packaging operations.

NBE is looking for a Product Line Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our dry material handling product lines by providing technical expertise and support to our outside sales team and customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in preparing and delivering technical proposals and quotations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify customer needs, understand project requirements, and recommend appropriate product solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and technical capabilities of our products, effectively addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with engineering, controls, and manufacturing teams to provide valuable customer feedback and insights, contributing to the enhancement of existing products and the development of new solutions.
  • Provide presales and postsales technical support, addressing customer inquiries, troubleshooting product issues, and facilitating effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings, and provide market intelligence to the sales team.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to develop and execute effective sales strategies, promotions, and customer retention programs.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and drive business growth.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex products and systems, with the capacity to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Selfmotivated, resultsoriented, and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (to assist with estimating and quoting)
  • Working knowledge of Excel and ability to understand formulas and references
  • Solid problemsolving skills and the ability to think creatively to address customer challenges and requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proactive and resultsoriented mindset, with a passion for driving business growth and exceeding targets.
  • An introductory level of exposure to liquid properties (viscosity, specific gravity, rheometric details, etc.)
  • Experience with Solidworks, heat transfer calculations, and fluid dynamics would be highly beneficial

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
