    Growing manufacturing company in Northbrook is searching for a Controller. We design and manufacture industrial products used in a variety of markets sold domestically and internationally. Our employee base of 55 employees is growing rapidly as our business continues to increase.
    The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing with management experience. Cost accounting experience is a plus with knowledge of bills of material, routers of operations, labor and overhead rates. Knowledge of HR fundamentals is a plus.


    Responsibilities:


    Manage a staff of two to oversee the daily general accounting duties including customer billings, accounts receivable, cash application, accounts payable processing vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving reports and processing checks to pay vendors.

    Month end close procedures include recording all necessary journal entries, reconciling all key balance sheet and income statement accounts. Perform an analytical review and analysis of monthly results compared to budget, prior year and forecast. Prepare comments on all significant variances and corrective actions.


    The controller is the point person for preparation of the annual budget and begins with the sales forecast for the upcoming year.

    Production and capacity planning is based on the sales forecast and will determine the necessary resources and related costs to support the sales plan.

    Year-end procedures include the annual audit and tax work papers. Prepare all necessary audit and tax schedules for the outside CPA firm.

    As a key member of our management team, the Controller interacts daily with all departments including manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and engineering.

    The Controller manages all banking and insurance relationships, and reports directly to the Company CEO.
