    Job Purpose:


    Lead and execute the product development and technical program management related tasks for the application and validation of software and hardware for existing and innovative brake control, brake actuation and parking brake systems and sub-systems, focusing on impact analysis of new concepts and system requirements, on the definition of bench and vehicle system test specifications and providing technical guidance and support to core, internal and customer application teams.

    Responsibilities include the following

    (other duties may be assigned as needed):
    Coordinate the analysis of component and system level software and hardware customer requirements with a multifunctional team.

    Draft sub-system proposals for brake control components, brake actuators and parking brake components based on requirements and system sizing analysis.

    Lead technical discussions to demonstrate compliance to requirements, present alternative technical solutions or negotiate exceptions to customer requirements when necessary.

    Establish comprehensive and robust validation plans that include necessary activities at each milestone with focus on Design Validation and Production Verification planning, execution and reporting.

    Gather and prepare technical material for detailed technical gate reviews and support technical product discussions with customers.

    Program Manage brake control, brake actuation and parking brake component application programs which includes at a minimum tracking issues and their escalation as necessary, supporting cross-functional team meetings, hardware and software technical team reviews.

    Develop and confirm an internal program schedule to minimize risks and execute customer milestones on time.
    Support customer bench and in vehicle testing, design verification –DV- and production validation –PV- manufacturing and launch events.
    Support the resolution of in-house manufacturing issues, customer assembly issues and warranty investigations by providing technical expertise.
    Act as the champion for required validation equipment to maintain Mando capabilities.

    Assist with overseeing hardware in the loop –HIL- environment, electrical bench and vehicle level validation suites including wire harnesses, test fixtures, breakout boxes, sub-system components, electrical tool hardware interfaces and software tool interfaces.


    Qualifications:
    Minimum of bachelor degree in electrical engineering or related field.

    Minimum of 7 years of automotive electrical and mechanical engineering experience working in product development environment with OEM, with preferred focus on systems Failsafe, Diagnostics, vehicle communication bus and component level HIL and electrical bench validation.

    Full understanding of product development cycle and experience on requirement elicitation process.
    Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO-26262 and experience with the creation of DFMEA.



    Technical Competencies:
    Proficient with testing and data acquisition tools such as Vector CANoe (CAPL), CANape, CANalyzer among others.
    Ability to analyze collected data to identify software, hardware and performance issues.
    Knowledgeable on the use of engineering tools such as CATIA, PTC integrity, ETAS INCA, Vehicle Spy, DataMiner.
    Experience with vehicle diagnostic tools and automotive networks such as CAN and FlexRay.
    Hands-on automotive maintenance and repair experience highly desired.
