Description

Akkodis is seeking a Connected Vehicle System engineer for a Fortune 500 automotive manufacturer.

This is an exciting, long-term opportunity with an excellent working environment, team, and support.

The role is on-site in Dearborn, Michigan.

Pay range:
$55.00-$65.00 per hour. Benefits are offered, and for those who may require it, sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in delivering the Vehicle Software Update Solution, including all aspects of the delivery cycle.
Build technical specifications and documentation for Vehicle Software Updates.

Own the System Design and define the architecture by decomposing requirements into component responsibilities and defining integration points between components/nodes.

Release and manage Specs in VSEM/FEDE/JAMA.
Cascade and explain requirements to all Vehicle Software Update feature partners (D&R, Systems, Suppliers, Cloud, etc).
Perform early bring-up and prototype proofing and support incremental sprint deliveries. .
Sign-off on test plan correctness and completeness (demonstrating ultimate accountability for the delivery).
Performing vehicle testing related to Vehicle Software Updates using CAN and other tools.
Monitor Requirements fulfillment and track requirements deviations.
Participate in different project meetings, presentations and technical design reviews (TDRs).
Prepare proposals and other presentations for business and technical audiences.

Experience Required:
Experience leading a team and driving forward ideas from concepts to practical projects.
Experienced with modern software development methods and Agile development techniques.
Ability to systematically resolve issues.

Experience with software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

Familiarity with ISO standards 13429, 14229, 26262 and 13400.
FMEA/FMA Training/Certification.
Understanding of common microcontrollers and embedded architectures and peripherals.
1+ years of experience in integration of AUTOSAR modules like MCAL, BSW, COM, RTE, SWCs.
