Description

Role: Audio Visual Fabrication Engineer - Associate

Location: Carlisle Barracks, PA

Education/Certifications: Assoc. or Tech. degree preferred (not required); Minimum HS Diploma or GED; AVIXA CTS or similar certification preferred.

Years of Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Clearance Level & Investigation: Interim Secret (requires U.S. citizenship)

Computing Environment Certifications: AVIXA CTS or similar certification preferred

JobDescription:

Set up/operate audiovisual equipment for events.
Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
Troubleshoot malfunctions.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide audiovisual support for Customer events, ensuring equipment setup and operation complete before scheduled start time.
Promptly address audiovisual equipment malfunctions during events, minimizing disruption and downtime.
Provide training and documentation on use of audiovisual equipment to organization staff, as needed.
Must be proficient in using industry-standard live streaming software and hardware, including but not limited to encoders, switchers, and broadcasting platforms.
Ensure live stream optimized for various viewing platforms, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Provide real-time monitoring of live stream to promptly address technical issues, ensuring smooth viewing experience for audience.
Ensure live stream complies with accessibility standards, including provision of closed captioning services.
Provide video on demand (VOD) services, allowing live stream to be accessed and viewed after event.
Provide analytics and reporting on live stream, including viewer numbers, engagement metrics, and other relevant data.
Install, maintain, support, and operate projection devices, systems, stage lighting systems, LED signage, sound systems, equipment cabinets and cases, lighting systems, power supplies and conditioners, support structures, remote control systems, interconnections, and interfacing.
Return equipment to satisfactory performance level within 4 consecutive working hours after response to system failure in any Customer auditoriums, conference/seminar rooms, reading rooms, and multipurpose rooms; notify Government POC of any repairs that take more than 4 consecutive working hours to repair.
Provide less than 60-minute response time for Customer seminar rooms.
Provide operational solution within 4 hours of identified equipment failures.
Initiate equipment replacement plan if repairs cannot be accomplished within required time frame.
Take appropriate action to correct equipment malfunctions within 5 minutes of
discovery.
Support all approved work order requests for lectures, special events, and rehearsals.
Obtain written permission from all guest lecturers prior to recording or televising any presentation.
Support evening and weekend lectures as needed.
Provide secure video teleconferencing services including scheduling, operation, and maintenance of installation's Defense Information Systems Network Video Services (DVS-G) video teleconferencing suite, DVS-G, DVS-G Over-IP, and IP based (H.323) Systems.
Provide user assistance/setup of video conferencing technology, including includes both secure and non-secure conferences for all VTC locations, conference rooms and multi-purpose rooms.
May require off-hour or weekend support as needed.
Investigate and diagnose technical issues reported by customers related to IPTV service.
Identify root causes of problems, whether hardware, software, or network-related, and work towards resolving issues.
Interact with customers directly, either through phone, email, chat, or in-person, to aid and resolve IPTV service issues.
Ensure IPTV systems are functioning optimally by performing routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, firmware upgrades, and system checks.
Assist with implementing new features or functionalities.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and resolutions.
Provide training sessions or user guides to Customers, helping them understand how to use IPTV service effectively and troubleshoot common issues on their own.
