General Description:
As the Quality Assurance Associate, you will oversee the production operations, ensuring quality standards throughout the entire process.
A quality assurance associate must perform workforce assessments, provide training to new employees, produce or approve documentation and progress reports, and collaborate with members of leadership to ensure that everything is running smoothly and complies with the company's policies and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with organization member to audit, identify quality problems, and improve operational processes.
- Write, maintain, and disseminate quality manuals and other documentation.
- Investigate and diagnose quality complaints, track down components, and recommend corrective actions.
- Verify logs, databases, and other data to track and flag quality concerns and improvements.
- Draft policies and procedures
- Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
- Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
- Investigate customer complaints and nonconformance issues
- Collect and compile statistical quality data
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
- Coordinate and support onsite audits
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Responsible for document management systems
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Analytical and strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
- Time Management
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Using one's own hands and arms in handling, installing, forming, positioning, and moving materials, or in manipulating things, including the use of keyboards.
- Ability to occasionally lift 1035 lbs., and infrequently lift up to 50lbs, using team lift.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with periodic breaks.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform physical job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
