The Office for Building Management is responsible for managing and maintaining the city of Kempten's real estate assets, which include a total of 240 buildings for schools, cultural institutions, administration, sports, social services, and operations.

The Building Maintenance department of the Office for Building Management is responsible for the renovation and upkeep of these properties. This includes all phases of the HOAI (German fee structure for architects and engineers) within the department.
