The Opportunity:
As a data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data expert like you to bring your expertise to measure our client's performance and effectiveness.

As a client-facing data analyst on our National Security team, you'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you'll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on Intelligence production and drive insights by telling the data story.

How You'll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you'll:

Use your data analytics expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis, of large data sets.
Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
Apply consulting skills and data analytics expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
Contextualize data to address stakeholder questions.
Develop user-friendly, easy-to-understand visualizations for customers to meet business and mission needs.
Create, enhance, and maintain data visualizations using Tableau.
Develop interpretive statements and assertions based on analyses, available information, and data holdings

You Have:

5+ years of experience with developing data standards or operating data governance efforts within and across IC elements
5+ years of experience with evaluating and monitoring data quality using database tools and data visualization techniques
Experience with developing data standards or interface documentation as implemented in an international, IC, or US Government specification, including ICPUBS or NITF
Experience with implementing software tools and associated processes for data governance and specification, including Collibra or Alation
Knowledge of IC reporting data standards and formats
Knowledge of software tools for data governance and specification
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems or Library Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
