When you join our St. Louis Operations team as a Fire & Natural Hazards/Facility Hazards Senior Consultant Engineer, your engineering background and the company's nearly two centuries of scientific research combine to support the partnership to help our clients understand risk and apply engineering solutions.

    If you enjoy variety, want to put your time-management and organizational skills to use handling field visits, home office work, and projects for large commercial and industrial occupancies and hazards, then we have an opportunity for you in the Denver, Colorado area.

    The St. Louis Operations territory includes CO, IA, KS, MO, MN, ND, NE, SD, and southern IL.
    • Properly identify and quantify client exposures based on FM Global standards so that our clients and client service teams are presented with an accurate description of the risk profile for each location.
    • Deliver high quality project services to achieve successful project completion and communicate exposures to our clients and client service teams for acceptable resolution.
    • Work in partnership with our client service teams and our clients to develop and implement risk improvement strategies for risk improvement objectives.
    • Deliver on our promise to provide timely, accurate and efficient loss prevention services.
    • Work efficiently from a home office to manage time and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • This is a field-based role and will require travel to large, complex industrial client sites to evaluate the operations and systems of the site and identify risks and hazards.
    • Job title and grade may vary based on experience level
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum five years' experience in field engineering.
    • Candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office products is required.
    • Candidates must be analytical, organized and have good problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    • A valid driver's license is required, a company car is available.
    • Local travel as well as overnight travel ranging from 10-50%. Typical can be 25%.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Able to lift up to 25 pounds or 11.34 Kilograms
    • Able to climb ladders and tour roof areas while meeting all FM Global safety requirements.
