    JOB TITLE: Applications Engineer

    COMPANY: VMRA Technologies

    Primary Purpose: The Applications Engineer role focuses on the technical aspects of VMRA projects and products, engaging with potential clients to showcase the benefits of VMRA solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating on product development, presenting product features to customers, and fostering new business opportunities.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to provide quotes for new projects.
    • Expand and manage new business to drive revenue growth while exploring new business prospects.
    • Ensure projects meet system requirements by working closely with customers and engineers.
    • Develop tailored sales approaches that address client needs and concerns.
    • Manage project opportunities from quoting phase to finalization.
    • Build and nurture new account relationships through various channels.
    • Deliver technical presentations to clients via different platforms to explain VMRA products and services.
    • Recommend tailored VMRA solutions to clients for cost-effectiveness.
    • Maintain customer relationships and address inquiries.
    • Coordinate with sales team to support customer demands.
    • Handle Aftermarket Sales including spare part quoting and procurement.
    • Collaborate with Accounting Department for spare part billings.
    • Support outside sales activities and Business Development Vice President as required.
    • Provide regular and detailed project updates.
    • Utilize SolidWorks and DraftSight for project concepts and design.
    • Liaise with vendors for equipment pricing and lead times.
    • Collaborate with Test Engineering for project validation.
    • Assist in creating robot simulations.
    • Facilitate transfer of project information to Project Engineering.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    No direct reports.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related field.
    • 1 - 3 years of engineering design experience.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Proficient in SolidWorks for project concepts.
    • Experience in automation or manufacturing design.
    • Familiarity with automation and manufacturing processes.
    GENERAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Ability in various design software.
    • Experience with complex mechanical designs.
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
    • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
    • Strong computer and mathematical abilities.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
    • Utilize vision effectively and handle physical tasks.
    • Perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
    • Various physical movements required.
    • Compliance with safety regulations.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Occasional exposure to different environmental conditions. Be aware of moderate noise levels in the workspace.

    Other Duties

    This job description may evolve to align with business needs.

    Travel Requirement: Approximately 30%

    Expect occasional travel, both locally and overnight, as necessary.
