    Overview

    The role is a crucial component of Tetra Tech's overarching objective to establish a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary leadership team focused on delivering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) sustainability solutions to our commercial clients.

    Specifically, this role will function within the ESG leadership team, leading a technical team specializing in air quality and carbon net-zero sustainability.

    The Consultant will collaborate with clients to assess and implement regulatory requirements, develop net-zero commitments, deepen existing initiatives, and achieve ambitious sustainability goals.

    A key aspect of the role involves identifying integrated solutions across disciplines to support clients' objectives, leveraging Tetra Tech's diverse expertise.


    Responsibilities:

    • Quickly integrate into Tetra Tech to understand and utilize its diverse resources and service offerings.
    • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to drive business development, project implementation, and practice area strategies.
    • Provide senior leadership support to Tetra Tech's air quality and sustainability practice, focusing on expertise in your field.
    • Lead and mentor a diverse team of air quality and sustainability specialists, delegating tasks as needed to facilitate career growth.
    • Focus on practice area growth, quality assurance, and involvement in complex projects for challenging clients.
    • Participate in strategic client management programs, industry initiatives, and strategy groups.
    • Act as the Senior Account Lead for strategic client accounts, meeting client needs and fostering strong business relationships.
    • Lead strategic planning efforts and project implementation, including RFP management, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with commercial, industrial, financial, and energy firms to generate opportunities for growth.
    • Attend sustainability events to promote Tetra Tech's expertise and manage sustainability advisory projects.
    • Attract and assist in recruiting key talent to align with Tetra Tech's culture and team approach.
    Requirements and Preferred Experience:
    1. 15 years of program/project management experience in air quality and sustainability.

    • Expertise in air permit applications, carbon accounting, and environmental justice permitting programs.
    • Solid understanding of air quality and its relationship to sustainability and environmental justice markets.
    • Demonstrated leadership in operational and program-level roles, business development, and strategic planning.
    • Strong network of clients and established relationships in the industry.
    • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and manage project finances with profitability.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including delivering effective presentations.
    • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Professional Engineer licensure in a U.S. state, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states through reciprocity.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
