A Day in the Life of a CADD Technician
Qualifications of a CADD Technician:
  • Associate degree or Certification in CADD Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience using CADD software for civil or roadway drafting
  • Proficient in drafting construction documents for transportation projects in AutoCAD. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a bonus
  • Experience in developing templates and workflows in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is advantageous
  • Experience in drafting with MicroStation is a plus
  • Experience with Bluebeam, including troubleshooting and profile and tool chest development, is beneficial
  • Efficiently produces high-quality drawings
  • Adept at configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting AutoCAD software
  • Experience in a CADD consulting environment working with internal colleagues and external consultants

Work Schedule for a CADD Technician This full-time position typically entails a flexible 40-hour work week. We also offer employees the flexibility and essential equipment to work remotely 2-3 days a week. Our Boston office is conveniently situated in downtown Boston, within walking distance of various MBTA subway lines and North and South stations. The office is easily reachable on foot, by bike, or via public transit.
