UG2 is seeking an
Energy, Sustainability, and Commissioning Specialist to play a pivotal role in advancing our commitment to sustainable practices and operational excellence across our facilities nationwide.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations and Maintenance with a secondary reporting line to the Director of Technical Solutions and Transitions, this position offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful change within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and analyze energy and water conservation measures, renewable energy projects, and operational best practices.
- Evaluate opportunities for improvement in building systems, controls, and metering in conjunction with facilities teams and external consultants.
- Assist in the development of project proposals, including ROI calculations and budget analysis.
- Coordinate with BAS technicians to ensure successful project commissioning and optimization.
- Deliver reports on energy projects, best practices, and incentives, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Support realtime continuous commissioning programs, including assisting with metering masterplans.
- Work closely with maintenance staff to ensure systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Analyze energy and water usage data to inform and contribute to sustainability goals.
- Assist in reviewing technical drawings for MEP sustainability compliance in sustainable construction efforts.
- Contribute to the updates of UG2's Sustainability Plan and participate in climate resiliency initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or a related field.
- 25 years of relevant experience in energy efficiency within commercial or industrial buildings.
- Proficiency in building automation systems, energy management software, and various presentation tools.
- Experience with sustainable construction practices and project management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and/or LEED accreditation are highly desirable.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
Pay:
$65, $75,000.00 per year
