- Demonstrate public participation and planning experience
- Collect, assimilate and manage project-related data
- Create technical reports, presentations, and other materials to document planning study findings
- Assist in preparation and participation of public information meetings
- Plan and monitor aspects of multidiscipline transportation planning and transit projects
- Assist in completion of required studies, documents and reports
- Participate in planning work sessions in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
- Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule
- Support a variety of transportation planning projects including complete streets, bicycle planning, transit planning, long range planning, community planning, or concept development.
- Participate in corridor studies associated with FTA CIG projects
- Create technical reports, presentations, and other materials for stakeholders and clients to document planning study and concept design findings
- Transit plans
- Local, regional and statewide multimodal transportation plans
- Transit oriented development
- Corridor studies
- Short and Long Range Transit and Transportation Plans
- Transportation planning reports
- Transit studies for multiple modes
- Bicycle and pedestrian studies
- Community engagement
- Assist in projects relating to emerging transportation technologies
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field
- 2 years of relevant transportation planning experience
- Possess excellent analytical and communication skills
- Understanding of transportation and transit planning principles
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Geographic Information Systems, and Adobe InDesign
- Possess excellent writing skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)
- Master's degree preferred
- Transit, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Planning Experience
- Experience coordinating with transit agencies, municipalities, state, and federal government organizations with relevance to transportation and transit in Ohio
- Local candidates preferred
