    Primary Responsibilities
    In the role of Senior Transportation Planner/ Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

    Pursue work as a project manager on a variety of transportation planning and/or environmental compliance projects.
    Lead projects, project tasks and delegate assignments to team members.
    Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline transportation planning and/or environmental compliance projects
    Prepare and lead participation in public information meetings and hearings.
    Ensure regular coordination across disciplines (e.g., engineering, transportation planning, resources, strategic communications, etc.).
    Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
    Demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning and programming experience.
    Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
    Mentor junior staff and facilitate on-the-job training

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Planning, GIS, Geography, Biology or related field.
    Minimum 10 years of relevant transportation and/or environmental planning experience.
    Experience as a project manager.
    Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
    Understanding of USDOT transportation planning principles and State and MPO Transportation planning requirements.
    Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnel.
    An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Master's Degree
    Local candidates are preferred.
