Overview:

Essen Health Care is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. The desired candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of Essens Accounting Department. The desired candidate needs to be a strong critical thinker who pays attention to details and is a self-starter and a team player. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required. This is a hybrid position working 2-3 days per week on site.

Job Summary:

Essen Health Care is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. The desired candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of Essens Accounting Department. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required. This is a hybrid position working 2-3 days per week on site

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Assist with the month-end close process for multiple subsidiaries
Assist with the preparation of various financial schedules
Perform P&L and balance sheet monthly account reconciliations
Monitor intercompany activity for multiple subsidiaries
Preparation of expense accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and amortization.
Monitor and record leasing activities
Daily cash recording and perform bank reconciliation for multiple subsidiaries
Prepare journal entries and review of accounting classifications in accordance with GAA
Experience working with large data files to assign proper department and expense
Follow up with outstanding items with internal and external parties
Assist with the year-end audit
Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
1-3 years of professional accounting experience
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and desire to grow with the Company
Highly detail oriented and organized
Able to work well with team members on site and remotely
Time management skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Excel and Word (building spreadsheets/pivot tables/v-lookups/ formulas) a must
Experience working with NetSuite preferred
Experience in Healthcare preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Salary: $60,000-$75,000
