    Job DescriptionSalary:

    We are seeking STAFF ACCOUNTANT to become a part of our team You will perform various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of an operating unit such as posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting system output, and processing payments.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities of a Staff Accountant will include, but is not limited to the following:

    • Responsible for processing daily accounting functions
    • Prepares accounts payable, and reviews electronic time attendance system for employee.
    • Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reports.
    • Answers telephones, opens and logs mail, and assists in other clerical functions.
    • Sorts documents; codes, logs, reviews for accuracy; matches supporting invoices to procurement documents.
    • Prepares routine entries and posts financial transactions.
    • Handles cash and cash related transactions, issues receipts, records and types money lists, and balances cash fund; enters cash transactions in ledgers and reconciles cash reports; prepares bank deposits.

    Qualifications

    • Accounting/Finance - 1 years work experience; New Grad encouraged to apply
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited college or university
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Good keyboard skills: 40+ wpm
    • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress
    • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and task and manage time efficiently.
    • Detailed oriented and organized
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Good oral and written communication skills

    Working Conditions

    • The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be required
