    Customer Service Representative

    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Customer Service Representatives "CSR" are the first line of communication between clients and the staff. The CSR will help the hospital continue to grow through providing a team approach and having a strong customer service foundation. CSRs must possess the skills to interact on a professional level with clients and their animals. Excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to demonstrate initiative and independence. Multitasking, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are highly desired skills for the CSR.

    Duties of the CSR include but are not limited to:

    1. Answering multiple phone lines
    2. Greeting and welcoming clients and their pets in a warm and friendly manner
    3. Accurately enter client information
    4. Process transactions and take payments
    5. Communicate with clients about their pet's estimates and upcoming procedures
    6. Proactively respond to questions, concerns and requests for information and independently resolve them
    7. Schedule appointments and boarding reservations
    8. Work with DVMAX Software and AllyDVM program
    9. Faxing and scanning documents
    10. Maintaining a clean and organized reception area; following all current COVID-19 protocols

    Physical Requirements:

    The CSR must be able to enthusiastically work a full shift. The ability to lift up to 40lbs is needed in order to help clients carry bags of food or heavy pet carriers into the hospital or out to their vehicles. The CSR must be able to walk a strong large breed dog if the owner needs assistance.

    Controls Over Work:

    CSRs are to report to their Lead CSR. They may also report to or receive direction from Hospital or Resort supervisors, Technicians, Assistants, or kennel attendants on a daily basis.
