    The Payroll Administrator will provide a full range of US Live Productions crew payment processing.

    Your day will look like this:

    • Responsible for all production crew onboarding for both payroll and 1099 contractors.
    • Track status of all activities onboarding, I9s, background checks, contracts
    • Fill in contract template details and send to crew.
    • Manage uploading documents to various systems.
    • Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll for production crew, and per diems
    • Reviews computation of timesheets, pay rates, per diem rates, and travel expenses.
    • Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding payroll payments, contractor invoice payments, payment of per diems, payment of expense reports.
    • Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
    • Coordinates with any other Solotech offices paying non-US production crew to ensure payments are calculated and paid as per agreements.
    • Reconciliation of payroll reporting to source data
    • Tracking and reporting of lump sum payments (show pay) to corporate payroll department.
    • General ledger coding of freelancer invoices
    • Prepare freelance accrual monthly.
    • Support crewing department for any freelancer issues with invoices or payments (coordination with corporate A/P)
    • Update of pay sheet analysis database (add new employee data for lookups)
    • Maintaining SOPs (standard operating procedures)
    • Certificates of Coverage liaison (providing employee profile information, tour schedules, and other data as needed to support the certification)
    • Other duties as assigned

    Your profile:

    • Associates degree in either accounting or business administration
    • Minimum of two years of payroll or related experience
    • Experience in the entertainment industry with exposure to timekeeping and payment of production crew (an asset)
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages
    • Expert level Microsoft Excel.
    • Systems: D365 and VensureHR
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to solve complicated problems
    • Thoroughness and attention to detail
    • Well-developed organizational skills
    • Demonstrate ability to work well with clients (internal and external)
    • Adapt to change easily

    Work Requirements:

    • Time will be spent in an office setting.
    • Work hours may vary depending on deadlines and the needs of the Company.
    • Typical workweeks are 20 hours.
    • Environment may be fast paced and stressful.

    Physical Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, heat, cold, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. Environment may be fast paced at times.
