    Job Description:



    We are in search of a skilled and detail-focused Controller to join our team. The Controller will be accountable for overseeing all financial activities within the company, encompassing financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.



    The perfect candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, a profound grasp of financial processes, experience in construction accounting, and the capability to enhance operational efficiency and boost financial performance. This is a pivotal role within the organization, demanding strategic vision, clear communication, and effective collaboration across departments. This position will be situated in Lexington, Kentucky, or Cincinnati, Ohio.



    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow supervision.
    • Offer financial insights and analysis to facilitate decision-making and enhance operational productivity.
    • Establish and enforce financial policies, processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance and protect company assets.
    • Lead the annual budgeting and planning processes, collaborating closely with department heads to define financial goals and aims.
    • Collaborate with top management to craft and carry out strategic financial strategies aligning with the company's overarching goals.
    • Manage relationships with external parties like auditors, lenders, and investors.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and alterations in accounting regulations to guarantee compliance and guide business choices.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. Preferably holding a CPA or CMA certification.
    • At least 5 years of solid experience in financial management or controller positions.
    • Familiarity with Construction Accounting including Progressive Billing, WIP, and Job Costing.
    • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
    • Background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making competencies.
    • Proficient in financial management tools and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
    • Ability to convey financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Experience in the renewable energy sector is advantageous.
