- Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and coordinate inventory replenishment.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to generate accurate demand forecasts, monitor inventory levels, and track material flow.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure continuity of supply.
- Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and inventory optimization techniques.
- Analyze data and generate reports to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, with the ability to effectively utilize planning and inventory management modules.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
