    We are looking for a full-time Technical Documentation Specialist. This position requires an active secret clearance. The work location will be Fort Huachuca, AZ position and will support the RCC-C, which provides cutting-edge technology in an enterprise environment.

    The successful candidate will not only possess documented and demonstrable experience in creating, reviewing, and editing technical documents and office communication within an enterprise class IT organization, but will also have experience in administering documentation management systems (DMS).

    ABOUT THE JOB

    As the Technical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and editing technical documentation and communications in accordance with U.S. Army and NETCOM regulations for the U.S. Army Regional Cyber Center CONUS (RCC-C). You will be responsible for maintaining the facility's DMS to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of all in-scope documentation, and you will provide editorial guidance to the technical staff to continually improve the facility's foundational writing capabilities. A professional attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate and work with all levels of a complex organization are a must, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team effort.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

    An ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in the following areas:

    • Administering and improving the RCC-C's in-house developed DMS which utilizes role-based access, process driven approval mechanisms, status-driven knowledge asset availability and historical versioning capabilities, yearly review cycle management, categorization and filtering, compliance reporting, and content-aware searching functionality
    • Developing, communicating, managing, and improving organizational procedures and training aids for the submission, review, and approval of documentation to be managed in the DMS, in alignment with approved Knowledge Management (KM) policies
    • Developing, delivering, and improving periodic DMS-based management reports to ensure organizational awareness and compliance with documentation audit requirements
    • Collaborating with all levels of the organization to develop, document, and implement use of established and approved documentation
    • Collaborating directly with the organization's Knowledge Management Officer, KM Practice Manager, and ITIL Process SME to ensure the documentation pillar of the Knowledge Management strategy continually meets stakeholder requirements
    • Assessing newly created organizational documentation to ensure proper government, U.S. Army, and contract approved templates and formatting are correctly implemented
    • Reviewing/evaluating all documentation to be submitted to DMS for grammatical errors and usability and coaching/iterating with submitters to improve overall quality and finalize documentation for submission
    • Other duties as assigned
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • HS +5 years of general IT experience
    • ITIL 4 Foundation certification is required within 90 days
    • Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim
    • Scheduling flexibility able to accommodate after-hours, weekends, and holidays
    • Occasional travel may be required for work or training purposes
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    • Experience working in a dynamic, military environment preferred
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills preferred, with the ability to positively express organizational goals related to responsibilities across all levels of a complex organization
    • Excellent PC skills utilizing the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) preferred
    • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and complete objectives on-time
    • Ability to resolve problems independently
    • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, which can include walking for sustained periods to complete tasks and activities related to responsibilities
