    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Location: Inglenook, Rutherford Job Summary: Inglenook is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a n Event Producer and Sales Manager. We are Americas grand wine estate tucked away on 1,700 acres surrounded by beautiful vineyards and rolling hills. Our Event Producer and Sales Manager is responsible for promoting and soliciting private, corporate and hospitality events for the property and promoting the Inglenook brand. They will use their talents to develop unique and exciting experiences. It takes a team of creative partners to produce events at the level we do. The successful candidate will work closely with a list of preferred vendors and colleagues while developing new business connections. * Demonstrate a positive attitude toward safety

    Ensure work is performed in a safe manner and all safety rules, regulations and instructions are in compliance

    Report and investigate workplace injuries in a timely manner; identify ways to eliminate risk of reoccurrence; complete audits; conduct monthly safety tailgate meetings and trainings; maintain compliance with hazardous materials program; inform/train new employees on specific safety aspects and procedures within the department and location; participate in monthly management safety meetings

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Effectively sell events, including but not limited to corporate events, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, celebration lunches and industry events, that meet or exceed annual revenue goals.

    Actively solicit new business and develop new vendor relationships.

    Effective use of time to maximize key selling opportunities .

    Conduct all sales related interactions with the highest level of professionalism, including appearance .

    Conduct property tours for prospective clients .

    Work with DMCs, Event Planners and clients in the creative development of each event.

    Ensure event dcor, themes and designs remain true to Inglenooks aesthetics.

    In partnership with the Estate President and Event Operations Manager, d evelop and implement sales strategies, plans, and projects for increasing business .

    Work closely with E vent Operations Manager in the turnover process of each event providing specific details on the pre-contracting phase, estimates and vendors requested .

    Welcome client on event day whenever possible.

    Expand and develop sales platforms .

    Assist with tracking the productivity of the marketing plans and projects .

    Represent and promote Inglenook at industry meetings, events and trade shows .

    Assist with event operations and coordination as needed including wine club, trade and family events both onsite and off-site .

    Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from a guest to the Estate President

    Ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience .

    Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education/Experience: * Bachelors Degree preferred - Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event or Meeting Planning or equivalent experience in the hospitality industry

    Two years Sales Manager experience in the destination market of a luxury property, with solid experience in event and catering sales and experience in the solicitation of new business and closing and negotiating contracts

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem Communication, Oral and Written Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task Relationship Building - Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers Team Builder - Ability to convince a group of people to work toward a goal Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations Knowledge of wine and wine making techniques at Inglenook and other major wine regions of the world Computer Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), Internet, RMS; Knowledge of ReServe or event software useful Lift/Carry
