    Job DescriptionProgram AssociateBio-tech Research FoundationNew York City (Hybrid)Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 per year, plus eligible for a performance based bonusTerrific Program Associate position with a biotech research foundation in the New York City area. The Program Associate will support community engagement initiatives, primarily through the organization's STEM education and mentor program. Typical responsibilities will include program evaluation, curricula development, event planning and establishing community partnerships with high schools and other stakeholders. This position will interface extensively with internal and external partners and should have excellent communication and collaboration skills. Candidates should have approximately 1-2+ years of relevant experience in community engagement, event planning, or student & youth program management. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree is preferred. STEM experience is a plus. The organization operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in New York City. The salary range for the Program Associate position is $65,000 to $80,000 per year, plus eligibility for a performance based bonus.Responsibilities:
    • Support community engagement work within the foundation
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners on scaling the STEM mentoring program
    • Assess program outcomes to provide improvements and opportunities for expansion
    • Manage community and mentoring program events, providing logistical support and planning
    • Assist in communications for programs and events, including press releases, reports, newsletters, and social media
    • Maintain program data in Salesforce
    Qualifications:
    • Approximately 1-2+ years of relevant experience with student programming, youth program management, and or community events planning
    • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong project and/or program management experience
    • STEM teaching experience a plus
    • Bilingual Spanish speaking a plus
    • Mission driven and able to thrive in a collaborative environment
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
