The Surgical Technologist is responsible for various tasks as part of the surgical team to guarantee a smooth and successful operation process. This role operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and reports directly to the Surgical Services management.
The Surgical Technologist is expected to support system wide and surgical operations initiatives and practices. Additionally, this individual will actively engage in the safety plan for surgical operations as outlined.
About Intermountain Medical Center:
Intermountain Medical Center was established to address two main challenges: the aging of Intermountain Healthcare's Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, UT, and the inability to expand LDS Hospital, the company's flagship hospital at the time. Between 1999 and 2002, Intermountain acquired 100 acres of land at 5300 South State Street in Murray, strategically located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley. Following a decade of planning and construction, The Medical Center opened its doors on October 29, 2007.
