DUTIES
Job Goal:
1.
Under the direction of the principal, serves as an educational leader and assists the principal in the planning, coordination, and directing of activities and programs related to the administration of the school.
2. Under the direction of the district athletic director, provide supportive services to all BMS co-curricular programming and supervisors.Performance Responsibilities:
1.
Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school and assumes leadership of the school in the absence of the principal.
2. Assist the principal and district administration in advancing the continued development of high-functioning teams throughout the building.3. Assist the site principal in the maintenance of a safe, orderly, and effective school environment.
4. Assist the site principal in the fulfillment of all goals for school improvement expressed in the district strategic plan.
5.
As directed by the site principal, assist in the management of all school programs, activities, and functions according to district policy and priorities.
6. Assist the site principal in the improvement of instruction as directed.7. Assist in the maintenance of student discipline as directed by the site principal.
8.
As directed by the principal, supervise and evaluate designated teachers and support staff according to the approved evaluation procedures of the district.
9. Work with BMS Principal and District AD to oversee the keeping of all necessary co-curricular administrative records.10. Work with BMS Principal and District AD to maintain and replenish supplies of equipment and materials.
11. With BMS Principal and District AD, provide for the selection, assignment, and evaluation of BMS co-curricular supervisors.
12. Assume responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all BMS officials, transportation, and athletic events/activities.
13. With BMS Principal and District AD, arrange field, theater and gym practice schedules.
14.
Supervise and/or organize supervision of coaches, sponsors, athletic contests, concerts, games and other activities and areas where those activities occur to avoid property and/or tort loss.
15. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the BMS Principal or District Athletic Director.Qualifications:
Master's Degree and Illinois Teacher Certification or eligibility.
1. Type 75 Illinois Administration Certificate.
2. Two years successful teaching experience - five years or more preferred.
3. Background in facility and program scheduling, co-curricular activities, and personnel management preferred.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Terms of Employment: 220 Day Contract - Salary to be determined by the Board.
Evaluation:
This position will be evaluated in accordance with the approved evaluation plan for administrators in this district.
