    Description


    Prosum is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join their client on a 6 month contract to hire, 100% remote role.


    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Information Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating various technical security systems and procedures. This role involves directly supporting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of computing systems, including servers, networks, and workstations. Key responsibilities include project implementation, product support, and ensuring compliance with IT processes.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience (3 years) in Information Security
    Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
    Strong project management, time management, and communication skills (both technical and non-technical)
    Proficient in analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting
    Capability to generate reports and plans
    Competence in analyzing, troubleshooting, and investigating security-related anomalies in information systems
    Skilled in conducting security vulnerability assessments across various information systems


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Five years of relevant experience
    Experience in network and system security audits, as well as application security audits
    Thorough understanding of Federal and State laws related to safeguarding electronic protected health information, personally identifiable information, and other sensitive data
    Experience in disaster recovery planning and certification/accreditation processes
    Background in systems or network administration, or ability to acquire necessary skills
    Previous involvement with Healthcare Information Systems
    Prior experience in help desk administration, systems engineering, or other IT-related roles
