Position Summary

  • The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for supporting the critical tasks of the Payroll Department, including the processing of three payrolls: 1 Biweekly, & 2 Monthly
  • The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the following:
  • Garnishments
  • Account analysis
  • Reconciliations
  • Answering W2 questions and sending off copies
  • Answering payroll related questions.
  • Sending reminders to Supervisors or students about timesheet deadlines

The Payroll Administrator reports to the Director of Payroll. This is a full-time, at-will, exempt position. The position is hybrid and reports to the Chicago campus 3 days per week.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to reconcile payroll transactions
  • Ability to process payroll timecards
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Banner experience preferred.
  • Payroll processing experience with ADP systems preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state withholding requirements preferred.

Equipment Operated

  • Basic office equipment (desktop computer, copier/multifunction device, printer, fax and telephone).

Working Conditions

  • No
rmal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there may be a need to move about the office frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure).

  • Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress.
