Summary

  • The Accountant will be an integral part of the Finance Team, focusing on Job data verification and margin analysis. The position is responsible for keeping accurate and up to date organized records and will have contact with a variety of staff members and customers, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. This position reports to the Controller.
    Essential Functions
  • Review and import new sales orders from WeSuite into Sedona.
  • Follow up with Sales and/or Engineering staff on sales order discrepancies.
  • Attach backup documents to imported jobs in Sedona.
  • Review job warranty information and system types for accuracy.
  • Separate integrated system jobs into correct categories within Sedona software.
  • Add inspection schedules to sites within jobs.
  • Prepare weekly Over/Under margin analysis report.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to create customer invoices.
  • Prepare weekly job close review reports.
  • Calculate and enter monthly purchase price variance journal entries (PPV's).
  • Assist in ad hoc analysis. Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Current and valid US driver's license.
  • At least 34 years of applicable experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, preferably in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting and financial disciplines.
  • Advanced level MS Excel user.
  • Overall proficiency in MS office.
  • Well organized with strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Attention to detail required, must be a selfstarter and must have the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in balance sheet account reconciliations; with journal entries and monthend close; filing sales and use tax returns; and working in a corporate accounting environment preferred.

  • This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require business travel.
