- Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Develop and implement financial controls and processes to safeguard the firm's assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and strategic financial plans.
- Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Conduct financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making and long-term financial planning.
- Cash Management:
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet the firm's operational needs.
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate terms for banking and financing arrangements.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to prepare and file tax returns and manage tax audits.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team, ensuring high levels of performance and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Strategic Support:
- Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support the firm's growth and profitability objectives.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.

Boulo is recruiting for a Financial Controller with experience in the legal industry for a private litigation law firm in Houston, TX specializing in large class action lawsuits. You will be in a key leadership position within the finance department of the law firm, responsible for overseeing the firm's financial operations, accounting practices, and financial reporting. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial information, manage the accounting team, and provide strategic financial insights to support the firm's growth and profitability.

Pay: $115,000 - $135,000
