    Software Engineer at Hidden Level

    As a Software Engineer at Hidden Level, you will apply your skills and experience to design and develop applications for the test, verification, and calibration of custom-built hardware products.

    As a Software Engineer at Hidden Level, you can expect to...

    Design, implement, and improve hardware test applications:

    • Write Software to communicate with and automate the control of lab test equipment
    • Collaborate with Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, RF, and Production Engineers to derive requirements for hardware test solutions
    • Aid in the creation and review of requirements, pass/fail criteria, and develop solutions to meet design goals
    • Build application front ends that are intuitive, reliable, and easy to use
    • Develop software backends that are organized and easy to maintain and improve
    • Test and validate software designs to ensure proper and bug free operation
    • Participate in the hands-on validation of hardware using developed software solutions
    • Aid with the transition of software applications and test methodologies to production

    Work in a motivated cross-disciplinary environment:

    • Work with small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results
    • Participate in collaborative, cross-functional design and code reviews
    • Document and clearly communicate designs to peers

    A successful candidate may have...

    • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with strong programming background
    • 3+ years related professional experience (all experience levels considered with commensurate compensation)
    • Programming experience with
      • Python
      • Matlab a plus
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges through teamwork and collaboration
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with the ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs
    • Experience with or the willingness to learn about:
      1. Communication, Radar, and other Sensor systems
      2. Hardware interfaces such as SCPI, SPI, RS-232, USB, etc.
      3. Radio Frequency test equipment such as signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, software defined radios, etc.

    The location of this position has the ability to work hybrid and/or onsite in the Syracuse, NY office.

    Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $90,000 to $106,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.'s total compensation package for employees.
