    Roles & Responsibilities:

    A position is open for a postdoctoral fellow in the Lazarus Lab at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The group ) is a growing lab studying different mechanisms of disease using chemical biology and structural biology. It has an NIH-funded opening for a project studying the role of autophagy in Alzheimer's disease.

    The position is available starting in September. It is in the Department of Pharmacological Sciences and is part of a great research community on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. The lab is a friendly and interactive group, with many ongoing collaborations with other groups on campus.
    The group is looking for a motivated, recent Ph.D. graduate, with a strong background in chemical biology or structural biology, experience with cell culture and cell-based assays. Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease and/or autophagy would be optimal. The applicant should have strong laboratory and analytical skills, as well as be independent, and have experience leading a project to completion.
