    Description

    Associate (Senior) sought by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Washington, DC to review & negotiate antitrust-rltd provisions in complex sale & purchase agreements, as well as review antitrust compliance & investigations.

    Reqs J.D. or foreign equiv & 4 yrs of exp as an Associate or rltd occupation.

    Must incl 4 yrs of exp in each of the following:

    Providing expert legal advice & counsel to internal stakeholders on all aspects of compliance w/ antitrust laws; Formulating legal strategy based on comprehensive legal & factual research & analysis to evaluate the potential antitrust implications of bus.

    strategies, agreements, & practices; Conducting internal investigations to identify & address potential antitrust violations, & recommending appropriate remedial actions; Overseeing prep'n of notifications to the U.S.

    gov't under the Hart-Scott Rodino Act ("HSR filings") to ensure compliance w/ antitrust laws & regulations; Representing U.S. & ex

    clients in negotiations w/ regulatory agencies, industry associations, & other external stakeholders on antitrust matters; & Providing legal support & guidance on antitrust aspects of merger review processes, merger litigation, antitrust investigations, & antitrust litigation.

    In the alternative, the employer will accept an LLM or foreign equiv & 4 yrs of exp. Must be admitted to practice law in Washington, DC.
